“Mon is the best in the world” is a reflection on the generational trauma that can be passed down through families and communities. Through this medium, I aim to explore the ways in which past experiences can continue to shape our present and future.

The shadows cast by the puppets are symbolic of the lingering impact of trauma, which can often remain hidden beneath the surface. By using a medium that is both visually captivating and emotionally evocative, I hope to draw the viewer in and encourage them to engage with the difficult subject matter.

Through the use of storytelling and symbolism, I aim to convey a sense of the deep pain and lasting consequences that can result from trauma. At the same time, I seek to highlight the ways in which healing and resilience can also be passed down through generations.

Ultimately, this performance is an invitation to explore the complexities of the human experience. It is a reminder that, even in the face of great adversity, we have the capacity to find strength and hope. By shining a light on the hidden shadows of generational trauma, I hope to create a space for reflection, understanding, and healing.
